Fernandez Bay Village is a rather remote and rustic resort of nine villas situated on one of the finest stretches of private beach on the island. This small family- run resort specializes in, as they say, “the kind of hospitality you expect when visiting good friends.” They do a little better than that, however. The rooms, though rustic, border on the luxurious. The floors are laid with terra-cotta tiles, the walls are made from fieldstone, and the furniture is dark, heavy and opulent. All rooms are cooled by overhead fans, and most have an outdoor garden bath as well as one indoors.
All sorts of watersports are available: sailing, water-skiing, snorkeling and fishing. Complimentary bikes are available, too. The food is outstanding, especially the homemade bread, and you can dine outside under the stars.
